Outrageous Reptiles & Exotic Pets (registered as of March of 2008) started out as a hobby which eventually grew and became a small business formally known as Valley Pets and Exotics. We have a huge love for all animals and hope that in the furture this business will grow to a larger scale operation. We have always been frustrated with the lack of reptiles and supplies available here on the East Coast. That being said we have been working hard on having everything a serious or a hobbiest herp keeper needs to be successful, including animals, supplies and proper care information! We breed many different kinds of reptiles and exotic pets, and take pride in having one of the largest collections of these in atlantic Canada! The business is mainly internet based for now but hopefully sometime in the furture we will have a store open to the public.

We are a registered Corn Snake breeder with the American Corn Snake Registry #222 and a small animal, avian, reptile, and aqaurium fish specialist through PIJAC Canada.

My name is Ryan Harvey and I grew up in Falmouth, Nova Scotia. I have always had a huge love for reptiles and all kinds of different exotic pets. I attened the Nova Scotia Agricultural College where I studied companion animal business management. The business definitly started as a hobby which over the years continued to grow. Growing up I raised many different speices of rescued native animals for the DNR, everything from raccoons to baby birds of off kinds! It was a great learning experience! In 2005 I was asked to supply and handle the animals for an Aliant commerical that has been aired all over Canada. I started bringing in different animals and reptiles and then breeding them. It is still a hobby but my hobby has grown to allow me to help the other herpers by providing high quality feeders and healthy pets!

My name is Krista Halbgewachs and I am a part owner of O.R.E.P. I was born and raised Windsor, Nova Scotia and currently residing in Halifax. After graduating from Avon View High I went on to study Arts at Mount Saint Vincent. After 2 years I realized this was not what I wanted to do and transfered to Dalhousie where I am currently studing Business Management. I always had cats growing up but always had a strong interest in the more exotic pets. My first exotic pet was a Chinchilla I named Herbie and my first reptile was a leopard gecko I named Iggy. What started out as a hobby eventually grew to what it is today.
